The congregation of The Pentecostals of York has heard me preach, “One day our church will number in the thousands." They hear me say, "The denominational churches in our city will someday be converted to this Apostolic message." Now I have to tell you, this kind of vision is so much bigger than we are! We are not personally capable of leading that many, and we must realize that, but God’s vision is bigger than you or me. It is bigger than our abilities or our inabilities.
We cannot limit God's work by our own limitations. We cannot place boundaries around the vision that God has given us (boundaries such as our own self-worth, mental abilities, or even our own personal spirituality). Look at the future as God would see it! Don’t hesitate to follow Him!
I believe we are standing at the brink of the bridge that leads to our destiny! Every person, every ministry, and every church is faced with the decision to advance or retreat. We can retreat to the comfort and safety of known surroundings, traditional routines, norms that have become acceptable, and we can be complacent with the way it is. Or we can advance into unknown territory, blazing new paths, stretching the norms into a new reality. It is with determination and desire that we must pursue the prophetic promises that have been given to us! Our faith is challenged to accept the revelation that what lies ahead is immeasurably greater than any sacrifice the journey will require. I am hoping that we all will be willing to cross that bridge and then burn it behind us as the Holy Ghost takes us past the point of no return “Together in God’s Vision”!
